See You Childhood

I’m not going to pretend I’m a super Prince fan. Nope, not even close, but growing up a child in the 80s, well it was the soundtrack for your life. I don’t remember a time when you didn’t turn on the radio and hear Raspberry Barret or 1999. Those were the song we all listened to, danced to and tried to learn every single word to.

Darling Nikki was the one really naughty song that we all seemed to know. It was kind of a secret language and you shared it with your friends.

It’s too bad that someone who was so creative and could think beyond what pop music was is now forever silenced. He was a power house when it came to music, but he was also an artist with all of the pain and suffering that usually accompanies it.

I wonder now if Bowie and Prince are busy collaborating on their next big thing.

Until next time, this is what it sounds like when doves cry.
